Whales at Sea
White whale, Narwhal
Tinkle my bells
Take me deep to depths
Where beauty lies
to seas of poetry
Deliver me where you speak with song
to poets souls
Then rise again
to take a breath and blow it high
with spouts full of flowery mist
with rainbows made with magic sights
that rise to skies to majestic heights
that thrills a heart with delights
With joyful fury slap the sea
to tell your friends the way whales speak
you have shown and he has arrived
He has seen the krill
and swallowed full
the billions of cells of unborn poems
in the soup of creation waiting still
They, the poems
that swim in the depth
of all Human minds
that can swim free if desired
just waiting for that
magical sea unicorn
for that Narwhal’s thrust
to pierce the membrane
that sets them free
of that calloused covering of skin
that many form
for fear they be followed
by naught but scorn
This I know
for I have seen
in a swim with whales
tickled and delighted
At sea in a dream…
